I'm a native-Detroiter and a food justice advocate. Educationally, trained as a sociologist, my areas of interest are in social movement theory and the history of Black Farmers. I study food sovereignty in marginalized communities and their development of community-based, food systems that increase access to healthy, affordable, sustainably food that also offer numerous community benefits.
